Date Posted: 03/18/2024 Req ID: 36570 Faculty/Division: VP - Operations and Real Estate Partnerships Department: Planning & Budget Office Campus: St. George (Downtown Toronto) Description: The Senior Planning & Budget Analyst provides financial and administrative services in the development of divisional budgets from the preliminary budget phase through to the detailed preparation and audit of the final budget. As well as develops financial forecasts and monitors financial performance throughout the year and performs divisional revenue and cost analyses as required. Additionally, the successful incumbent will administer several important general university funding accounts which undertakes varied, non-routine assignments involving analysis of documents, preparation of memoranda, reports and other material for eventual distribution outside the Office. QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION: Bachelors degree in Business Administration Successful completion of a recognized professional accounting such as Certified General Accountant (CGA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), Chartered Accountant or equivalent combination of education and experience. EXPERIENCE: Five (5) years’ experience of similar work in a University setting or equivalent in terms of demonstrated abilities; Experience within the University of Toronto highly desirable; FIS and HRIS experience highly desirable SKILLS: Ability to operate spreadsheet software and central financial information systems proficiently. OTHER: Numerical skills a necessity Analytical ability Ability to work independently Good communication skills Tact and good interpersonal skills Knowledge of university organization Ability to work accurately under pressure and determine priorities.
