Inventory Assistant

Description:
Responsibilities:* Under direct supervision, performs tasks at the lab involving receipt, organization and shipment of materials, supplies and donor samples* Operates material handling equipment such as automated carriers, pallet jacks, hand trucks, conveyers, compactors and forklifts* Participates in mandatory equipment training and performs inspections and routine maintenance on equipment* Receives, verifies and documents receipt of materials, supplies and specimens on logs/computerized inventory management system* Troubleshoots and investigates all in-bound and out-bound sample shipment delays* Organizes materials, supplies and specimens in appropriate storage areas; inspects, stocks, and distributes inventory materials* Maintains shipping records and prepares materials to be shipped to other locations* Follows safety regulations, Health Safety and Environmental (HSE) rules, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)Qualifications:* High School Diploma or equivalent vocational or technical training* Basic computer skills required* Prior experience in material handling and/or maintenance preferred* Familiarity with SAP preferredDifferent qualifications or responsibilities may apply based on local legal and/or educational requirements.
